The College will be infusing some humor in our celebration this year as we will be welcoming comedy-duo Colin Mochrie and Debra McGrath as keynote speakers for LCC2021!

Dr. Muhammad Owais Aziz (he/him) is Professor of Health Sciences at St. Lawrence College, Cornwall. He is also a member of the College’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) + Belonging Task Force. This is the third in a series of interviews profiling Task Force members who are considered change agents of the College. Change agents are individuals or groups that undertake the task of initiating and managing change in an organization.  

Korey Thomson, a third-year student in the Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology program is creating software to run virtual holograms for clinical simulations for medical students at the Queen’s University Medical Simulation Lab. The software will be used on a headset called the HoloLens which uses 3D models to create learning scenarios for medical students. SLC has reached an incredible milestone 50+ years in the making: 100,000 graduates. The new issue of Voyageur, produced by the College’s Development and Alumni Relations team, celebrates this milestone and shines a light on many outstanding alumni.

For the last several years, SLC students in the Autism and Behavioural Science program have engaged in a range of fundraising and public awareness activities in order to draw attention to both the needs and unique abilities of people with autism and their families.
