No High School Diploma, No Problem!
Did you know that you can still go to college even if you don’t have a high school diploma? Career/College Prep in SLC gives everyone the opportunity to get back on track and to pursue a career that they want. This program is designed to help those who did not complete high school to catch up on missing admission requirements so they can go to college. This also helps those who want to upgrade their skills and knowledge for future employment. 
Heading into the holiday season - a message to our SLC students
The fall semester is winding down and another holiday season is upon us already! This is an important month with many different religious holidays, customs, and observances coming up, so on behalf of the entire college team, I wish safe, restful, and happy celebrations to all.
Observing National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women
December 6th is the annual observance of the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. This day marks the anniversary of the murders of 14 women at l'École Polytechnique de Montréal in 1989, a horrific act of gender-based violence.
SLC Shared GSO Success at CBIE National Conference
In November, the Canadian Bureau of International Education (CBIE) hosted its first in-person annual conference since 2019. St. Lawrence College’s Global Skills Opportunity (GSO) project was featured at the Colleges and Institute Canada’s panel, “Fostering a Culture of International Learning with Global Skills Opportunity”. Ining Chao, Associate Dean of Global Partnership and Learning Services at SLC, was one of the three panelists and she showcased SLC’s faculty-led program in Ireland.
International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2022
December 3 is International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The annual observance aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
