SLC’s annual United Way campaign wrapped up on November 5 to a resounding success. Building on last year’s record of $13,686 raised, the goal of $15,000 was exceeded with a total of $15,820 raised. SLC graduates have a new post-graduation opportunity thanks to a bridging partnership with Queen’s Engineering. A formalized agreement between the two schools will allow graduates from SLC’s Civil Engineering Technology Advanced Diploma program to pursue a bachelor's in Civil Engineering at Queen’s.

Today is Remembrance Day, a day to commemorate Canada’s soldiers who fought and died for our freedom and democracy. Flags on campus are lowered in their honour. SLC staff and faculty will present three sessions at the Canadian Bureau of International Education (CBIE) virtual conference November 15-19, 2021. The focus for the conference is a dialogue to reimagine community on a global scale.
