Our team of SLC Research Engineers, Graduate Research Assistants and Student Researchers have been busy assisting local companies with collaborative SLC-industry research projects.

St. Lawrence College’s Pre-Service Firefighter Education & Training program donated 30 complete bunker suit sets of pants, suspenders, and jackets to GlobalFire, a Canadian charity that strengthens the emergency response capacity of underfunded fire stations around the world through the collection and donation of firefighting equipment and the provision of free, professional training workshops.

St. Lawrence College Employment Services in partnership with the Faculty of Applied Science, Technology, and Trades hosted a highly successful Employer Resource Breakfast on October 25.

The college recently welcomed 19 new Full-Time Faculty to the Contemporary Educator Program (CEP) within the School of Contemporary Teaching & Learning (SCTL). This two-year onboarding program is designed to support new FT faculty in their teaching by creating a community of practice of likeminded educators and connecting them to existing college resources across the three campuses.

It is a time of year for paying respect and showing support for veterans and those currently serving in the Canadian Forces. To help you participate in Remembrance Day in a meaningful way, information about live events, virtual ceremonies, and ways you can lend support is included in this update.
