Behavioural Psychology students present research projects

The Bachelor of Applied Arts in Behavioural Psychology program at St. Lawrence College is proud to present the sixth annual Poster Gala of fourth year student thesis projects from 3:30 to 5:30 on Friday, April19. The wine and cheese gala event will be held in Davies Hall on the Kingston campus immediately following the Building Behavioural Solutions Conference.

In their final placements, students complete a thesis project. Topics presented at this year’s poster gala are as diverse as developing programs to help adults with developmental delays find employment, improving symptom management for offenders with ADHD, enriching the environment of short-beaked echidnas at the Toronto Zoo, and using video modelling techniques and social stories to decrease inappropriate behaviours in autistic children.

The BAA in Behavioural Psychology is the only program of its kind in Canada. The degree incorporates theoretical studies with 1100 hours of practical placement experience.
