Indigenous St. Lawrence College will hold its spring Convocation ceremonies in Kingston at the Slush Puppie Place on Thursday, June 19 and Friday, June 20, 2024. Some 3,000 will graduate in three ceremonies from programs such as Nursing, Honours Bachelor of Behavioural Psychology, Music and Digital Media, Veterinary Technician, Wind Turbine, and more. This year marks the first graduating class from SLC’s standalone Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program — a major milestone for the College.
On Thursday, June 19 at 6 pm, students from the School of Business will graduate from programs such as International Business Management, Digital Marketing Communications, Tourism, and more. At this ceremony SLC will confer an Honorary Diploma on Julie Tompkins, (Retired) VP Corporate Services and Chief Communications Officer, Empire Life. Click here to read more about Julie.
The 10 am ceremony on Friday, June 20 includes students from Allied Health, Business, Community Services, and Nursing. At this ceremony, the College will confer its Honorary Diploma on Dr. Jagdeep Singh Walia. Click here to read more about Dr. Walia.
At 3 pm on Friday, June 20, students will graduate from the schools of Applied Science and Technology, Arts, Media and Design, Interdisciplinary Studies and Pathways, SLC+ Continuing Education, and Skilled Trades.
"We are immensely proud of what our graduating class has achieved," said Glenn Vollebregt, SLC President and CEO. "Their dedication serves as inspiration to everyone. We believe that their time at SLC has prepared them to excel in their chosen professions and make meaningful differences in their communities."
