Board of Governors Announce New President & CEO for St. Lawrence College


December 12, 2012- After an extensive national search, the Board of Governors of St. Lawrence College is delighted to announce that the College’s own Glenn Vollebregt, currently Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration, has been appointed, the new President and CEO effective January 1, 2013. 

With 12 years of dedicated service on the College’s Executive Team, Glenn brings a broad range of senior administrative experience, a proven financial background and a deep passion for student success to this leadership role. Glenn holds a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from the University of London, UK, a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation from the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario and a Business Accounting Diploma from Georgian College.

During his tenure as Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration, Glenn’s strong financial leadership and student focus has enabled the College to invest in its core business – students, and their success.

During Glenn’s tenure, St. Lawrence College has experienced strong enrollment growth, with the student population nearly doubling in the last decade. The College has also consistently ranked among the top three colleges in Ontario for graduate employment and employer satisfaction with our graduates.

Glenn is a strong community advocate through active involvement in numerous high-profile board appointments including Sustainable Kingston, the Ontario Education Collaborative Marketplace and as a past member of the Kingston Economic Development Corporation (KEDCO) Economic Round Table Committee.

The comprehensive search for a new president and CEO began in the summer of 2012 through the services of one of Canada’s premier executive search firms, Odgers Berndtson.
