Sustainable Energy Symposium looks at innovative energy technology solutions


St. Lawrence College, Kingston campus, is pleased to host the 1st Annual Sustainable Energy Symposium on March 8, 2012. The one day symposium will attract leading industry players, top educators, and visionary government agencies who are positioning Ontario and Canada as the leader in energy innovation in the 21st century.

The symposium features keynote speakers Dr. John MacDonald, Chairman & CEO Day4Energy Inc., and Mr. Michael Carten, Chairman & CEO Sustainable Energy Technologies Inc. Dr. MacDonald is known as a true visionary and entrepreneur in the space technology and renewable energy industry. Dr. MacDonald’s many contributions have positioned Canada as a world leader within the fields of space science and technology. Mr. Michael Carten founded Sustainable Energy Technologies Ltd. in 1999, and has been its Executive Chairman since then. Mr. Carten has represented some of Canada’s largest energy companies, and has been an advisor to both federal and provincial governments.

The symposium will also include highly informative and engaging panel discussions by industry experts and experienced individuals, college student research project presentations, poster displays, industry exhibits, awards, and a tour of St. Lawrence College’s applied research facility - the Sustainable Energy Applied Research Centre (SEARC).
