Culinary students serve up Christmas lunch at Kingston school

Students and staff at St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Kingston will be served a full Christmas lunch with all the trimmings by St. Lawrence College culinary students on Tuesday December 14 at 12 noon. This is the second year our students have been invited by the school to provide the holiday lunch.

"We are honored to be invited back again to St. Pat's to cook the Christmas lunch for these students and a very dedicated faculty and staff at the school," said Thomas Elia, Executive Chef, St. Lawrence College. "We hope to instill in our students an understanding of the importance of giving to the community that so many in our profession believe in, and give so freely of their time and resources."

"I think it is very important for us as students to give of our time and skills to something like the lunch at St. Pat's. These kids really appreciate our efforts and you can see it in their faces," says second year student Alan Crowe. "Last year we had kids coming up to hug us and thank us, I realized then just how much this meant to them. I am very happy to participate again this year."
