Learn more about who the St. Lawrence College Board of Governors (BOG) are, their role and contributions to the College, and some updates for the 2022-2023 Board term.

Every year, approximately 350 health sciences students, including BScN, Practical Nursing, and PSW, from St. Lawrence College’s Cornwall campus complete their clinical placements at the Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH). The placements are a key component of their education, allowing them to work directly in patient care, so that when they graduate, they are ready to hit the ground running as highly trained and skilled members of the hospital’s health care teams.

As part of SLC’s Global Engagement Community Development Program, SLC recently piloted its first Community Welcome Event for new (and returning) international students on our Brockville campus. The event’s goal was to warmly welcome international students to SLC and the Brockville community. To further ease their transition, students met with helpful staff and community members while exploring the city, all it has to offer, and local employment opportunities. 

The Student Success Division would like to welcome new and returning students, faculty, and staff to the new 2022-2023 academic year and share helpful information and updates on current service offerings.

With the fall semester around the corner, Belonging, Human Resources & Organizational Development have begun posting many student employment opportunities on the SLC website. If you know any qualified students who may be interested in a student employment role, please consider sharing the job posting(s). More positions will continue to be posted in the coming weeks.
