Students from the Police Foundations program (PFP) and the Honours Bachelor of Behavioural Psychology program (BPSYC) are currently learning and collaborating together to target and solve a community problem in the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington (KFL&A) area as part of an Interprofessional Education Community Project.

The A. Britton Smith Centre for Behavioural Studies is a hub for researchers, faculty, students, behaviour analysts and community service providers to work together to advance the science of behaviour analysis through education, practical application, and collaborative research work. SLC has put forward five nominees for the 2023 CICan Awards of Excellence program. The awards recognize and promote excellence within Canadian colleges and institutes and gold, silver, or bronze prizes are awarded in nine different categories ranging from Student Leadership to Applied Research, Managerial and Non-Managerial staff, EDI, and more.

Our team of SLC Research Engineers, Graduate Research Assistants and Student Researchers have been busy assisting local companies with collaborative SLC-industry research projects.

St. Lawrence College’s Pre-Service Firefighter Education & Training program donated 30 complete bunker suit sets of pants, suspenders, and jackets to GlobalFire, a Canadian charity that strengthens the emergency response capacity of underfunded fire stations around the world through the collection and donation of firefighting equipment and the provision of free, professional training workshops.
