Interview with EDI + Belonging Task Force Member Dr. Muhammad Owais Aziz
Dr. Muhammad Owais Aziz (he/him) is Professor of Health Sciences at St. Lawrence College, Cornwall. He is also a member of the College’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) + Belonging Task Force. This is the third in a series of interviews profiling Task Force members who are considered change agents of the College. Change agents are individuals or groups that undertake the task of initiating and managing change in an organization.

Autism and Behavioural Science Students Fundraise for World Autism Awareness Day
For the last several years, SLC students in the Autism and Behavioural Science program have engaged in a range of fundraising and public awareness activities in order to draw attention to both the needs and unique abilities of people with autism and their families.
SLC student’s work with Queen’s University will help revolutionize medical education with augmented reality
Korey Thomson, a third-year student in the Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology program is creating software to run virtual holograms for clinical simulations for medical students at the Queen’s University Medical Simulation Lab. The software will be used on a headset called the HoloLens which uses 3D models to create learning scenarios for medical students. Introducing LCC2021 Keynote Speaker Sheila Watt-Cloutier
We are pleased to announce that we will be welcoming Sheila Watt-Cloutier as a keynote speaker for LCC2021! Sheila’s work has touched upon the intersectionality of climate change, foreign policy, the economy, and global health. She utilizes her Indigenous teachings to provide a more holistic understanding of sustainability and personal well-being by elevating global issues to a more personal level.
