Learning Connections Conference 2023: Introducing Peter Katz
We will be trying something different this year at LCC by introducing three keynote speakers throughout the hybrid two-day event. These plenary keynote presentations will be in addition to more than 60 concurrent sessions facilitated by our very own SLC employees and select external guest speakers. Our intention this year is to weave the LCC theme of “Relate – Learning through Connections” by inviting everyone to engage in discussions on how we foster connections with one another. 
Students Compete in 14th Annual SLC Accounting Case Competition
The 14th annual SLC Accounting Case Competition was held virtually on February 2, 2023. Third year Business Administration – Accounting program student teams participated in this action-learning opportunity.  
Unity in Community: SLC Students Celebrate World Interfaith Harmony Week with Cornwall Community
On Saturday, February 4 international students joined members of the Cornwall community for an event organized by the Cornwall Interfaith Partnership (CIP) in celebration of World Interfaith Harmony Week. This free event, fittingly named “Unity in Community,” was a great success with approximately 55 students, their families and community members joining in the day’s celebration.
MPP Visits SLC to Discuss Mental Health and Wellness Supports for Students
St. Lawrence College was pleased to welcome Natalie Pierre, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Colleges and Universities, and MPP, Burlington, to the Kingston campus on February 15 to talk about mental health services and supports at the College.
Human Trafficking Awareness Day: What You Need to Know
February 22 is Human Trafficking Awareness Day, and according to the Government of Ontario, is one of the fastest-growing crimes worldwide. In our own communities, the 401 corridor is known as a conduit to transport people between Toronto and Montreal; in Canada, over half of reported cases of human trafficking incidents occur in Ontario.
