Event Overview
Our Positive Space workshop is to provide participants with greater knowledge about topics on gender and sexual diversity. This workshop will also provide skills and tools to foster and create more inclusive spaces.
Participants will help to create positive spaces at SLC by avoiding making assumptions about anyone's sexual orientation or gender identity and by using more inclusive language. Participants will learn about queer issues, local resources, and discrimination policies.
Though Positive Space focuses on sexual and gender diversity, it strives to account for many different intersecting forms of discrimination, and supports anti-oppression work in its many manifestations at SLC.
