Event Overview
Do you know you can check out a live book? You will have an informal conversation with someone who comes from various cultural backgrounds and life experiences. Live Library promotes acceptance, celebrates differences and challenges our own assumptions and beliefs. It is a great way to learn and connect with each other through storytelling.
SLC Libraries and Global Learning Centre, in collaboration with local public libraries, are bringing live books to our campuses. Volunteers are SLC students, staff, and community members. The conversations will be held for 30-minute slots and more than one participant can check out the same book with a maximum of three per live book.
