Prospective students and their families at our Spring and Fall 2025 Open Houses experienced something extraordinary—live surgeries performed by our faculty and students.
This initiative showcases the hands-on learning that defines our Veterinary Technology and Veterinary Assistant programs. To make it meaningful for the community, the team partnered with local non-profit and charitable organizations to identify feline patients in need of spay or neuter procedures.
Students enrolled in Surgical Nursing Labs volunteered to participate, gaining invaluable experience in a collaborative, real-world setting. For years, these programs have supported Open Houses, rabies clinics, and spay/neuter days, giving students the chance to work alongside faculty while strengthening their skills outside the classroom.
The Fall 2025 Open House marked our second successful event featuring live surgeries and we’re excited to continue this tradition in the future!
