POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent provides excellent customer service by actively listening to customers’ requests, answering questions, offering assistance, and referring inquiries to the appropriate resources within the School of Nursing and ASTT and/or SLC. The incumbent will stay updated on current activities and knowledge to effectively assist with inquiries. The incumbent is highly organized, solution-oriented and collaborates with the office team to support course and registration procedures, logistics and best practices to best serve learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to email/voicemail and in-person inquiries, seeking out appropriate resources and responses.
  • Communicate course and program details to students.
  • Support team in preparing/delivering course materials for classes as needed (in-person as necessary, or via email/shared files)
  • Organizing/scanning paper and electronic files for digital storage, mail merges and mailout letters.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, bringing forward observations/innovations/ideas gleaned from interactions with students (as necessary).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Time management, strong organizational skills, and an attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively work independently with instruction, or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite and other programs is a requirement. (MS word, Excel, Teams, & Email).
  • High degree of integrity for maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements: 

The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location.

Salary & Terms

  • Start Rate: $17.60/hour, (plus 6% in lieu of vacation)
  • Hours per week: 5.0

Terms of Employment:

  • Must be currently enrolled in Full-Time studies at St. Lawrence College OR returning to Full-Time studies in the immediate upcoming semester.
  • Must be in good academic standing for full duration of employment.
