Job Description
Incumbent reports to Department Manager, and under the guidance of the designate, will works up to 6-hours per week (may include evenings and/or weekends) for no more than 13-weeks, providing assistance in the execution of a small development projects and performing limited administrative tasks to gain work experience while supporting the operations of the Office.
Key Duties
- Supports staffing of department area during scheduled work times, providing a high level of customer service handling requests or concerns, and answering questions to students and visitors whether in person, by phone or email.
- Assists with administrative-related tasks, including creating and updating documents related to REB processes.
- Assists with facilitating operational processes e.g. Research Ethics Board application processes.
- Assist in updating or entering data into specific systems and preparing reports when required.
- Attends meetings when requested.
- Assists in organizing and planning upcoming events.
- Aids in the implementation of new projects, providing project ideas and working with existing project plans.
- Assist in dealing with occasional disrespectful users through escalating conflict to the department manager / designate.
- Performs other miscellaneous, related duties as assigned by the designate, with occasional duties specific to special functions.

terms of employment
- Rate of pay: $16.55 / hour (plus 6% in lieu of vacation).
- This position falls under the provisions of Student Employees in the Part-time Support Staff Collective Agreement and is subject to union dues.
- The student must be currently enrolled at St. Lawrence College.
- The student must be in good academic standing.
