Job Title: Student Research Assistant (Behavioural Psychology)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Incumbent will work up to 10 hours per week (may include evenings and/or weekends) for no more than 16 weeks. The position assists the CBS research team. The CBS Research Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the effective functioning of the CBS research team and associated activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the researchers in identifying gaps in the literature.
- Work with researchers to develop interview questionnaires, surveys, etc.
- Assists with administrative-related and logistic tasks, including updating or entering data into specific systems, and preparing reports when required.
- Implements any research protocols with participants accurately and collects applicable data (including treatment integrity and inter-observer agreement among others).
- Assist in writing results of study for publication or presentation.
- Communicate with students, faculty, and staff through emails or other forms of communication.
- Performs other miscellaneous, related duties as assigned by the designate, with occasional duties specific to special functions, e.g., orientation or open house events, awards dinners.
- Maintain frequent communication with the research team.
- Maintain ethical and professional standards of conduct of CBS and St. Lawrence College throughout the course of research, including confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Other Required Qualifications:
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Time management and attention to detail.
- Adaptable with the ability to problem solve.
- Ability to effectively work independently with instruction, and collaboratively with a team.
- Understanding of standard computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Teams, & Email).
- Proficient in searching online and use of library databases.
- Academic writing skills consistent with synthesizing evidence from multiple sources into a comprehensive literature review.
Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements:
The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location and work temporarily from a remote location with reliable internet access, as approved by the College and in accordance with the college’s Telework Policy.
SALARY AND TERMS:
Start Rate: $17.95 - $26.59 (based on qualifications), plus 6% in lieu of vacation (Refer to PT support grid)

Terms of Employment:
- Must be currently enrolled in Full-Time studies at St. Lawrence College OR returning to Full-Time studies in the immediate upcoming semester.
