Brand Identity II

Objective

The goal of this project was to re-create a logo for a charity or non-profit organization that can be readily applied and reproduced across a variety of materials such as the organization’s website, social media, promotional materials, stationery, and digital presentations. To motivate potential donors and participants, the logo must work in both one-colour and two-colour applications and reflect the organization’s values and beliefs. A SWOT analysis was performed to assess the organization’s present marketing promotion and awareness strategies, which include the use of social media outlets and print advertisements.

Description

The Agapè Centre is a non-profit charity, founded in 1971 to provide food to people in need in Cornwall, Ontario. It is the largest food bank in the area, offering various programs like a food bank, soup kitchen, and thrift store, and relies on donations and volunteers. The re-designed logo emphasizes the concepts of food, soup, love, passion, and community, using a simple and modern style with a heart enclosing a bowl of soup. The new logo is meant to address the shortcomings of the current one and stay true to the client’s values.

Interaction Design III

Objective

The project objective was to develop an interactive mobile app for a museum exhibition. An engaging activity was created that enabled users to demonstrate their comprehension of the exhibit. At least 5-7 screens were designed to adhere to the Apple iOS design guidelines and to showcase the interactive activity. The app design was tested with a minimum of 2 participants, and revisions were made based on their feedback to enhance the user experience.

Description

This mobile app was created for a conceptual art exhibition that featured key artists and pioneers of the movement, as well as affiliated artists. The exhibition app includes an introduction to conceptual art, with works by Marcel Duchamp, Sol LeWitt, Joseph Kosuth, and 4-5 other artists such as Damien Hirst, Yoko Ono, Sophie Calle, John Baldessari, and/or Joseph Beuys. The interactive app would allow visitors to explore the exhibition by viewing the timeline of conceptual art, browsing artworks, listening to artwork descriptions and artist biographies, and registering for performance art pieces. Visitors can also scan a QR code or participate in a scavenger hunt to access information and confirm their understanding.
