St. Lawrence College (SLC) is pleased to offer the Safe Food Handler Training course in partnership with KFL&A Public Health in Kingston. In-person classes will be held at the Kingston campus of St. Lawrence College.

The Safe Food Handler Training course provides instruction on the safe preparation, cooking, and storage of food in home and commercial kitchens. KFL&A Public Health has partnered with SLC to offer the course and ensure the curriculum meets with Ministry guidelines. The Ontario Food Premises Regulation 493/17 requires all food premises to have at least one food handler or supervisor, with a valid food handler certificate on the premises at all times. The certification is valid in Ontario for five years.

The next course is offered on July 23, 9am to 5pm and August 10-11 in the evenings (Aug 10 – 6-10pm & Aug 11 6-9pm).
