Semester Exchange and Articulation

Articulation Agreements with International Institutions

We know that earning one credential may not be enough to take you where you want to go. We work with many colleges and universities to create pathways for our students and graduates.

Credit Transfer Opportunities by Program: Articulation Agreements have been developed with other institutions to assist qualified St. Lawrence graduates to complete a degree or other credential in a shorter period of time. Some of these agreements have been developed with international partner institutions that offer quality educational experiences along with international experience, often at a very reasonable cost. Explore our Credit Transfer Opportunities by Program.

Earn Your Bachelor's Degree in Ireland: St. Lawrence College has articulation agreements with several Institutes of Technology across Ireland that allow students to turn their SLC diploma into a Bachelor's Degree in a short duration at reduced prices. The Irish Institutes of Technology offer SLC graduates access to a variety of degrees and locations to suit your needs.

Student Exchange Opportunities

St. Lawrence College continues to enhance partnerships at schools in the Caribbean. A partnership with Barbados Community College (BCC) means full-time SLC students in Culinary Management, Tourism, and Visual & Creative Arts – Fine Arts can participate in a student exchange program. The Hospitality and Fine Arts programs both provide a single semester exchange that will truly change the way our students approach their studies and their industries.

As an exchange student you will gain international experience while paying local tuition fees. This also means that BCC students may attend classes at SLC and share their unique Caribbean perspective with their classmates.

The SLC Culinary Management program offers an exceptional opportunity: a number of spaces will be available each year for students to complete the second year of their studies as exchange students at BCC. Students will pay St. Lawrence College tuition and will receive full credit for their studies in both institutions, earning an Ontario College Diploma in Culinary Management from St. Lawrence College and an Associate Degree in Applied Science - Culinary Arts from Barbados Community College. Add a year in Ireland: Graduates will be eligible to continue their studies in Ireland earning a Bachelor’s Degree. Three years, three countries, three credentials: an incredible start to your culinary career!

A single-semester (Fall or Spring) exchange is available at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies (NUFS) in beautiful Nagoya, Japan. NUFS and the Japanese government offer bursaries to offset the cost of room and board, allowing you to study Japanese language and culture in an international environment with other international students. Explore modern Japan's industry, language, and culture through study, research, hands-on learning, and excursions.
