POSITION SUMMARY

This position reports to the Associate Dean, Professional Services & Innovation with direction from Faculty in all School of Professional Services & Innovation programs. Responsibilities include working with Faculty to articulate program technical needs in upcoming semesters, troubleshooting program specific software challenges, cataloging equipment, flag equipment for repair, and performing minor repairs of equipment. The incumbent assists students/faculty during labs (for School of Professional Services & Innovation programs), coordinates equipment repair, maintains/monitors video gear inventory levels, helps students install program specific software on their laptops and support faculty with curriculum administrative tasks. The incumbent is required to ensure proper setup and operation of Business Intelligence Applications for students in the School of Professional Services & Innovation.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A minimum of a 2-year post-secondary diploma in Video Production, Videography, Graphic Design, Communications, Business, Marketing, Journalism, Computer Science, or related field.

A minimum of 1 year of experience in the creation and editing of videos.

Other Required Qualifications:  

  • Knowledge and skill in video creation, sound and lighting techniques, video editing, and various video creation systems
  • Knowledge of file management for multiple video products
  • Good understanding of MAC operating system and Apple products
  • Ability to shoot and edit videos
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite with a focus on Premiere Pro
  • Understanding of sound and lighting techniques
  • Written and verbal communication skills

Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements:

The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location.
