Indigenous Artist Bio
My work has been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in Canada, The Netherlands and Mexico. Several paintings have been featured in national magazines, and various books in Canada, Holland, Turkey and England. Over the years I’ve had the privilege of working for extensive periods at studios in Malaga, Spain (Fuente Studios) and Amsterdam (Retort Artist Project). My work has been collected throughout Canada, the USA, Europe and China.
Artist Statement
All that aside, for reasons unknown, themes of isolation, introspection and the fusion of contrary states of being, are what moves me. Somehow, the unveiling of these myriad layers between the darkness and the light, speak to who we are. Like peeling away the layers of an onion… sometimes it makes you cry. …Or, not. Either way, I’m not sure what it means. I just know that not all paths are carved in stone.
