Phase 1: Campus access by approval only starting August 4th

Access to all campus will only for those who have been contact by the college as part of the August Summer Pilot. Campuses remain closed to general access until further notice. Campus status may change without notice in response to government and Public Health recommendations.

During this phase:

  • Anyone approved to come to campus must complete a screening questionnaire prior to arrival and mandatory health and safety training
  • Students approved to come to campus will need to have completed mandatory health and safety training, confirmed their acceptance of the Student Conduct Agreement for COVID-19, and must complete a screening questionnaire prior to arrival
  • Employees who are not required to be on campus will continue to work remotely
  • Enhanced screening protocols will be in place and entry restricted to specific doors
  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols and physical distancing measures are in place
  • Anyone coming to campus will be required to bring and wear a non-medical mask or covering that covers your mouth and nose. If Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for your program, it will be provided for you. If you require accommodation with wearing a mask, please contact Student Wellness & Accessibility, ext. 5504 or Accessibility@sl.on.ca. Documentation and accommodation planning must be completed prior to accessing campus
  • Fitness Centres, gymnasiums, libraries, student governments, and computer labs remain closed
  • Limited food services are available on the Kingston campus only
  • Residence remains closed during the summer months
  • In-person events remain postponed

Phase 2: Starting September 8th

Planning is currently underway for the fall semester for the second phase to begin in early September following the recommendations of Public Health and the Government of Ontario. For the fall semester, lecture-based programs will be delivered in a remote/virtual environment while required labs, simulations, and assessments will be delivered on campus. Please see the Fall 2020 page for program specific details. Plans and policies may change without notice due in response to government and Public Health recommendations.

During this phase:

  • Campuses will re-open with controls in place to minimize the number of people on campus and reduce on-campus activities
  • Access to campuses will be restricted to those employees who are required to be on campus for the delivery of academic programing or other duties that require them to be on campus, and to students who are required to attend campus for labs, simulations, and assessments
  • Employees who are not required to be on campus will continue to work remotely
  • Enhanced screening protocols will remain in place including possible entry restriction to specific doors
  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols and physical distancing measures
  • Anyone coming to campus will be required to bring and wear a non-medical mask or covering that covers your mouth and nose.
