The Honours Bachelor of Behavioural Psychology program recently completed a virtual site visit as part of its renewal through the Postsecondary Education Quality Assessment Board (PEQAB), and the results were encouraging. Students, faculty, administrators, graduates, and community partners all took part, and reviewers responded with overwhelming positivity.

Reviewers highlighted the program's academic strength, the quality of student learning, and the depth of its relationships with placement partners. Participants spoke enthusiastically about the program's real-world impact and the support available to students throughout their studies. It was a strong showing for the program team and a clear signal of what sustained effort can produce.

The PEQAB renewal is one piece of a much larger effort. The Quality Assurance department has spent this year refining how program reviews are structured and carried out. Work is underway to move back toward a consistent five-year renewal cycle, with tiered review pathways that match the level of review to what each program needs rather than applying a single approach across the board.

The department has also been updating academic policies and bringing more consistency to curriculum management processes, including how programs are modified, how curriculum is mapped, and how titles and credentials are handled. These changes shape the day-to-day experience of every program team working through a review.

Preparation for the College Quality Assurance Audit Process (CQAAP) has also continued, with the QA department working closely with academic divisions, program teams, and senior leadership to make sure requirements are well understood and processes are in place before they are needed. This work reinforces the College’s broader commitment to academic excellence, continuous improvement, and meaningful community‑engaged learning.
