Learning Connections Conference 2021 Wrap-up

Learning Connections Conference. Think global, act local.

Story submitted by the Learning Connections Conference (LCC) Planning Team

Thank you SLC for your ongoing support of LCC!

We had an amazing turnout for our 12th Learning Connections Conference last week as we reached a new milestone by welcoming 568 registered attendees (compared to 487 in 2019). The LCC featured 74 sessions including five plenary events, three keynote presentations, and 66 concurrent sessions facilitated by SLC speakers.

The level of engagement by both participants and speakers in this conference was truly astounding as the community reconnected online in various ways to promote lifelong learning. In this final update, we wanted to focus on a few items before we begin to celebrate our graduating students during convocation next week.

Employee Awards

On Friday, June 4, the College held its annual Employee Awards during the last day of LCC. This event enabled us to celebrate 24 nominated individuals and departments for their various achievements this past year. The winners were celebrated with a round of virtual applause, but we invite everyone to congratulate this year’s winners in your team meetings.

  • Service Excellence (Student Employee): Beatriz Alves Brandao

LCC Feedback

The LCC Planning Team will be sharing a feedback survey in the following communication so that we can continue to reflect on the experience. We invite everyone to share their thoughts as this helps us improve the experience for all attendees and speakers.
