SLC's Human Resources programs hosted a semester-end celebration honouring the achievements of students across the Business – Human Resources Diploma, the Business Administration – Human Resources Advanced Diploma, and the Human Resources Management Graduate Certificate Program. This event brought together a vibrant community of students, alumni, HR practitioners, placement supervisors, faculty, and special guests, demonstrating the strong ecosystem that supports the development of future HR professionals.
As the 2025–2026 academic year reaches its mid-point, this gathering reflects the HR faculty’s ongoing commitment to SLC’s core values of Students First and Belonging—values that continue to shape the culture and student experience within the HR programs. These principles have been foundational to the expansion of extracurricular networking and “mixer” events, designed to enrich learning and deepen connections among students and industry partners.
The celebration also highlights the College’s dedication to fostering meaningful engagement between the classroom and the broader HR community. Local, national, and global employers—across private, public, and not-for-profit sectors—continue to recognize the talent, professionalism, and readiness of SLC’s HR learners. Many students secure high-quality placements and early career opportunities through the support of our network of community partners.
Faculty expressed deep gratitude for the curiosity, dedication, and passion that HR learners bring to their studies. The College is proud of the emerging HR professionals who have found their calling at St. Lawrence College. Looking ahead, future events will further strengthen pathways for employers to meet the next generation of HR talent, helping address ongoing labour market needs and reinforcing SLC’s role as a leader in workforce development.
