College team members are working on upgrades and enhancements to SLC’s HR and payroll systems through the HCM PeopleSoft Upgrade Project (PUP).

A technical upgrade will begin on Friday, October 22 through Monday, October 25; during this time, you will not be able to access the PeopleSoft HR system. Since October 22 is a pay date, if you need to access your electronic pay cheque, please do so prior to Friday, or on Monday.

What is changing?

The team is preparing the final upgrade of the PeopleSoft HCM system to bring it to a current level. At the same time, security access to the system is being updated from individually based access to role-based access linked to job responsibilities. This technical upgrade and security redesign will go live on October 22.

The upgrade will prepare the infrastructure to support further improvements and enhancements to the HCM system which will continue over the coming year with the full HCM project finishing in August 2022.

Behind the scenes accomplishments of the PUP project include:

  • Peoplesoft technical upgrade comprising of PeopleTools update and HCM Image updates that allows the application to update and run on a more recent version
  • Electronic Timesheet launched in HCM with email flow for approvals
  • Benefits calculations improvements
  • Peoplesoft Security Re-design

We will continue to share updates on this project. If you have questions, please email the Project Team: HRInfo@sl.on.ca
