Game Programming year-end showcase

Submitted by James Dupuis, Coordinator and Professor of Game Programming

Last week, Game Programming students wrapped up their semester and capstone projects with an arcade showcase displaying the games they've worked hard on all semester. Program alumni also stopped by the showcase to ask questions, give advice to the students, and showcase their post-grad game, Tavern Builder, which you can add to your wishlist on Steam.

Guests were invited to the showcase to play the games and learn about their development process. We were joined by the student’s family and friends, SLC employees and students, and industry mentors and guests from Snowed In Studios Inc.

Guests were invited to vote for their favourite games. Three capstone games, Whisper, Derelict, and Free Stone, took the lead, but guests also expressed how impressed they were with what the students could achieve in their 48-hour game jams as well.
