Marketing students Salvador Lara and Sean McKnight from team “Off We Go” won admission to a four-month incubator program with the Dunin-Deshpande Queen's Innovation Centre.

The School of Contemporary Teaching & Learning (SCTL) has partnered with Helena Neveu, Knowledge Keeper at SLC, to create a new learning opportunity as part the College’s commitment to Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Being. This new learning opportunity has been shaped by Helena’s focus on oral tradition, experiential learning, and reflective practice.

When a group of Muslim teenagers in Cornwall looked for books on Islamic civilization and culture in their local libraries, they discovered a dearth in reading materials, and the books they did find were not representative of Islam’s essential beliefs. With this need in mind, they approached their mentor, SLC’s Dr. Muhammad Owais Aziz, faculty in Interdisciplinary Studies and Pathways, for help.

The 13th annual SLC Accounting Case Competition was held virtually this past week, from Thursday, February 11 to Saturday, February 12, 2022. Third year Business Administration – Accounting program student teams from both Kingston and Cornwall campuses participated in this incredible action-oriented learning opportunity.

Local kids at the BGC South East (formerly known as the Boys and Girls Club Kingston) have a unique opportunity to develop their athletic skills with the BGC/SLC Surge basketball program.
