STUDENT BOOKINGS
COURSE
Design Research
OBJECTIVE
To redesign the Student Bookings experience as a mobile-first, accessible prototype that makes tutoring easier to find, book, confirm, reschedule, and cancel.
DESCRIPTION
This project reimagined the St. Lawrence College Student Bookings system to better support students seeking tutoring. Based on research findings, it addressed usability and accessibility issues such as confusing navigation, unclear calendar states, and weak visual clarity. The prototype introduced clearer booking flows, stronger confirmations, and WCAG 2.2 AA considerations, supported by a usability testing plan and accessibility checklist.
COURSE
Interaction Design 4
OBJECTIVE
To design a mobile AR navigation prototype that helps tourists and local residents explore the city more confidently through intuitive wayfinding, multilingual support, accessibility, and offline use.
DESCRIPTION
This project developed an augmented reality navigation concept for Kyiv. The app overlays routes, landmarks, and point-of-interest preview onto the live camera view, creating a more immersive alternative to traditional maps. Designed for both visitors and locals, the phototype emphasized multilingual UI, accessibility features, and offline usability, positioning AR as a practical and engaging city exploration tool.
COURSE
Interaction Design 3
OBJECTIVE
To design an iPhone museum app that enhances engagement with the Everything Old is Cool Again exhibit through interactive exploration, education, and cultural storytelling.
DESCRIPTION
This project created a digital companion app for the Everything Old is Cool Again exhibit. Its main innovation was a translation feature that transforms language into embroidery-inspired visual expression, linking communication with historical craft traditions. Alongside navigation and artifact exploration, the app was designed as part of the exhibit experience itself - warm, artistic, and accessible.
