Indigenous St. Lawrence College Esthetician Student Wins National Gold at Skills Canada
St. Lawrence College is proud to announce that Emma Amalfi, a student in its Esthetician program has won a gold medal at the Skills Canada competition held at the end of May. Emma first competed at the provincial Skills Ontario Competition, where she earned a gold medal and secured her place on Team Ontario. She then advanced to the Skills Canada National Competition, held in Toronto on May 28–29, 2026, as part of a delegation of 131 competitors representing Ontario to compete against the best esthetician students from across the country.

St. Lawrence College welcomes graduates, their guests, and members of the Board of Governors to its Convocation ceremony on the Cornwall campus on Friday, June 12, 2026, with two ceremonies at 10 am and 2 pm. This in-person bootcamp introduces you to essential technical and academic skills in a college environment before the fall term begins, with the goal of ensuring you’re prepared, confident, and ready to succeed from the very first day of your future studies.
St. Lawrence College Announces its Honorary Diploma Recipients for 2026
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is thrilled to announce its Honorary Diploma recipients for 2026. They will be conferred at convocation ceremonies in Cornwall on Friday, June 12 and in Kingston on Friday, June 19. Brockville’s convocation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 5. Honorary Diplomas are conferred by the College to individuals or organizations that demonstrate incredible community engagement, leadership, innovation, and integrity. Recipients are chosen because they are an inspiration to SLC students, alumni, and communities.
