POSITION Summary

Under the supervision of the Manager, Career and Student Services, the Student Services Navigator (SSN) is the front-facing and initial point of contact for St. Lawrence College community members (including prospective students, students, staff, alumni, and guests). The primary focus of the role is to provide an exceptional service with the goal of enhancing the students’ experience through addressing their needs or providing an effective referral.

QUALIFICATIONS

        Education and Experience:

        A minimum of a 2-year diploma.

        A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a digitized office setting, demonstrating outstanding customer service skills, professional conduct, and problem-solving abilities.

        Other Required Qualifications:

        • Non-violent Crisis Intervention training and/or ASIST training is required.
        • Experience providing service to diverse populations, including international individuals.
        • Responding to client needs in a sensitive and positive manner.
        • Maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

        Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements

        The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location.

        SALARY AND TERMS:

        • Support Group: Pay Band F
        • Start Rate: $28.26/hour, plus 6% in lieu of vacation
        • Hours per week: Up to 24

        THIS IS A CASUAL PART-TIME BARGAINING UNIT POSITION
