Event Overview
The Student Association is pleased to welcome Yuk Yuks Comedian Bobby Knauff to conduct an educational workshop with students and community members in our school, teaching them how to put together a standup comedy routine! This is a great opportunity for professional development in practicing skills of public speaking and professionalism in a fun and creative manner.
The event will take place on Saturday, February 18th in Event Centre A by the upper concourse.
TICKETS
SLC Students: $10 available at the SA Front Desk
Queens Students: $20 available at the SA Front Desk or eventbrite.ca at the link below...
Non-Students: $30 available at the SA Front Desk or eventbrite.ca
All students will be expected to show up with their student ID cards or pay the rest of the remaining balance for non-student tickets.
All students (both SLC and Queens) who attend this workshop will have the opportunity to send in a 5-minute video of a comedy routine they worked on to our new SA Comedy Club for a chance to enter the Larry's Last Laugh Comedy Contest!
Larry's Last Laugh will happen on Saturday, April 1st (April Fools Day) at St. Larry's Pub! We will choose the best entries we receive and put each student on stage for an 8-minute set, with the winner receiving a $500 cash prize and the opportunity to MC our first comedy show next school year, and help us find the headliner for that show!
