SLC Game Programming Students Tour Snowed In Studios Inc.

Submitted by James Dupuis, Professor, Game Programming

The Game Programming graduating class and faculty recently visited Ottawa-based industry partner Snowed In Studios, a Keywords Studio. The College has had a relationship with Snowed In Studios for several years, with Studio Head Jean-Sylvain Sormany serving on the Program Advisory Committee. This past year, the studio volunteered mentors to meet with and guide students working on group projects.

“The recent student visit was a great opportunity for the students to get face time with their mentors,” said Johanne Fratesi, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist for Keyword Studios. “To discuss their capstone project, to hear from different members of the studio about their career journey in games, as well as see the cool new office space.” To learn more, read “Opening doors for tomorrow’s game development talent” written by Randy Gaudreau for Invest Ottawa.
