June is Pride month!
In Canada, June is dedicated to commemorating and celebrating 2SLGBTQ+ pride. The SLC Pride Planning Committee has been working hard on several tri-campus events. These events provide opportunities for community-building, story sharing and education around 2SLGBTQ+ Pride.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Pride T-Shirt Contest! The contest showcases artistic talent and creativity in celebration of diversity, acceptance and 2SLGBTQ+ pride. This winning design submission by Maria Bautista will be turned into a t-shirt and available tri-campus.
Please note, t-shirts are intended for use at Pride month events. If you plan to participate in Pride month, please watch for additional details on t-shirt pick up times and locations from the Pride Planning Committee.
Several events will take place in June, including 2SLGBTQIA+ Meet and Greets on each campus! The Meet and Greet events are an opportunity for SLC students, faculty, and staff who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ to connect in a supportive environment, build community and grow together.
