St. Lawrence College is inviting full-time faculty to consider an exciting leadership opportunity. Nominations are now open for the tri-campus SLC Faculty Governor Representative on the College’s Board of Governors.

If you are passionate about leadership, governance, financial sustainability, program innovation, or organizational development, this is a unique opportunity to grow professionally while making a meaningful impact.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn official governance and leadership credentials, participate in provincial development sessions, connect with community leaders, and represent faculty voices across all three campuses. The role includes attending four Board meetings annually, along with invitations to attend networking events, conferences, and special college activities.

At SLC, the Board of Governors is made up of the College President & CEO, one internal representative from each of our student, faculty, support staff, and management groups, and 12 external community volunteers.

To qualify to run in this year’s election, you must:

• Be a full-time Academic Faculty Member for the duration of the Board term
• Be in good standing across the related SLC central repository of policies
• Not be a direct report of the President or one of the college’s Senior Vice Presidents/Vice Presidents
• Not be involved in any litigations or disputes with the College
• You must not have already served two, three-year terms as a Governor of the college
• If you have previously served in one term on the Board, you must ensure a minimum of two years separates the first and second term

How to apply:
Submit your completed nomination form, a short bio (300 words or fewer), and a professional photo to Kristen Bullock by Friday, March 27, 2026. The campaign period will run from March 30 to April 13, with the virtual election taking place on Tuesday, April 14. The successful candidate will be announced on Wednesday, April 15.
