For the past 15 years, SLC students in the Police Foundations program (PFP) have shown support for participants in the National Peace Officers' Memorial Run, an annual run that starts in Queen’s Park in Toronto and ends at the National Memorial for Fallen Peace Officers in Ottawa. As they’ve done in years past, SLC PFP students greeted runners as they entered Kingston and ran alongside them as they made their way through the city on Friday, September 23.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day are September 30, 2022 - a day to honour the children who never returned home and the Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Every year, approximately 350 health sciences students, including BScN, Practical Nursing, and PSW, from St. Lawrence College’s Cornwall campus complete their clinical placements at the Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH). The placements are a key component of their education, allowing them to work directly in patient care, so that when they graduate, they are ready to hit the ground running as highly trained and skilled members of the hospital’s health care teams.
