St. Lawrence College Launches New Website

St. Lawrence College (SLC) has launched a brand-new website, making it easier for prospective and current students to find doors to success, connecting opportunities to their educational goals. The website is easy to navigate, showcases the vibrancy of the College’s community through imagery and video, and provides access to numerous resources and supports.

"The website is often the first experience people have with SLC," said Stew Clark, SLC Director of Marketing and Recruitment. "As the number one tool used by prospective students for program information, the need for a first-class website in a crowded, competitive space is imperative. With its enhanced functionality and ease of navigation, and a lot more visuals and testimonials, the new website will allow us to truly stand out."

Top highlights include:

  • Better functionality and enhanced navigation using tidier, accordion-style drop-down menus, mobile-responsiveness, easy navigation between pages
  • Incorporation of anchor images, more videos, pictures, and testimonials. Information is concise, clear, “snackable” content
  • Information applicants want in three clicks or less! Namely fees, placement details, career opportunities
  • Direct lines to student/applicant help live chat, book appointments, easy link to student portal

As part of the year-long process, Clark and SLC’s website redesign project coordinator, Irene Hernandez, engaged in extensive consultations to determine the needs for the new website. The process involved the creation of journey maps, an examination of most visited pages through Google Analytics, and more than 40 discovery sessions with internal stakeholders and students. An online survey engaged more than 2,000 domestic and international students who gave invaluable feedback.

"The new website represents how SLC puts students first. We listened to feedback and feel our website is a direct reflection of the needs of our students, employees, and community members around the globe," said Glenn Vollebregt, SLC President and CEO. "From their first click on the website, our current and future students will intuitively find the information they need and will truly get a sense of the student experience and the many opportunities we offer to help them achieve their goals."

The website URL remains the same:
