SLC+ – A New Way to Discover Personal Development and Professional Learning Opportunities at St. Lawrence College

Introducing SLC+

St. Lawrence College (SLC), a leader in delivering full-time education as well as continuing education in Eastern Ontario, is proud to launch SLC+, a new visual identity for its continuing education and corporate training offerings.

SLC+ is a collection of learning opportunities that extend beyond traditional academic programming and includes:

  • Part-time courses, certificates, and diploma programs – designed to accommodate busy schedules.
  • Micro-credentials – short, competency-based training to help gain employability skills in a condensed timeframe.
  • Corporate Training – customized training programs built to respond to the needs of local organizations.
  • Personal growth and general interest programs – available for those who want to explore new passions and interests.

"Since 1967, St. Lawrence College has been opening doors for tomorrow’s leaders in Eastern Ontario with over 100,000 graduates, across more than 100 full-time programs," said Eileen De Courcy, SLC’s Senior Vice President, Academic. "We’re so pleased to launch SLC+, which will reinforce to our communities that SLC is here for them, whether their goal is to upskill, reskill, pursue a new interest, or drive business innovation. The programs offered through SLC+ are flexible, allowing working professionals to pursue their goals."

The strong, clear identity of SLC+ will increase awareness of what’s available, as well as improve the overall user experience online, according to Stew Clark, SLC’s Director of Marketing and Recruitment, who oversaw the development of the new identity which was designed by SLC’s in-house design team of Heidi Wallace Patenaude and Vincent Perez.

"One of the goals was to develop a unifying identity for the life-long learning offerings at SLC and improve the overall user experience," Clark said. "The website experience will be enhanced with improved organization, clearer segmentation of clusters of offerings, and improved search functionality."

"Continuing educational offerings have always existed at SLC, and now, under SLC+ we are excited to also offer micro-credentials and corporate training opportunities to our communities," said Glenn Vollebregt, SLC President and CEO. "SLC+ is the place to follow through on your goals, whether it be for professional development, a new interest, or to pursue a lifelong passion. From courses in painting, creative writing, business, languages, bookkeeping, digital marketing, and more, SLC+ offers courses and programs to suit a variety of needs and interests."
