Carla Kingston, professor and coordinator of SLC's Supply Chain Management program has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to the transportation and logistics field, receiving the Thomas J. McTague Memorial Award for "Academic Excellence" from the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transport (CITT) on Friday, June 6, 2025.
The award was presented during CITT's three-day conference held in Toronto, which brought together industry professionals to explore cutting-edge developments in transportation and logistics. The comprehensive program featured presentations covering diverse topics including various transportation modes, technology and security advancements, St. Lawrence Seaway port expansions, beverage logistics, cybersecurity in transportation, Indigenous logistics initiatives, Zero Wait Yard operations, and artificial intelligence applications.
