On Wednesday, April 8, faculty and students gathered to celebrate the achievements of the 2026 Hairstyling Diploma graduating class. The four-semester cohort was recognized during a lively awards ceremony that featured a pizza party, music, and plenty of laughter to mark the occasion.
The annual event highlights the dedication, talent, and professionalism demonstrated by students throughout their program. Awards were generously donated by industry suppliers and recipients were selected through an internal voting process conducted by hairstyling faculty and support staff.
Each award reflects specific criteria designed to recognize excellence across multiple aspects of the hairstyling profession:
Redken Elite Award – Presented to a student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, a strong professional work ethic, and a commitment to product knowledge and prescriptive services. The recipient also exhibits enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a high level of artistic skill development within the hairstyling industry.
NP Group Beauty Supply Award – Awarded to a graduate who has shown exceptional technical proficiency and the highest degree of professionalism, contributing to the advancement and quality of the hair design industry.
Cosmoprof Professionalism Award – Given to a graduate who consistently exemplifies professional appearance and behavior, fosters class spirit, and demonstrates dedication to the field.
SalonCentric Engagement Award – Recognizes a graduate who has shown outstanding participation and engagement in both practical and theoretical components of the program across all four semesters.
The celebration served as both a recognition of individual accomplishments and a send-off for graduates as they prepare to enter the hairstyling industry. Faculty expressed pride in the group’s growth and achievements, noting their readiness to make a meaningful impact in their careers.
