When Michelle Cifuentes moved from Guatemala to Canada, she didn’t expect content creation to become such a defining part of her journey, or to lead her to being named Content Creator of the Year with Latin American Impact. Her path has been shaped by courage, reinvention, and a commitment to telling honest stories that help others feel seen and supported.
Her work first began in Guatemala, where she launched her own business and started sharing motivational content aimed at empowering women to push past professional barriers. Her message was simple but powerful: if you can dream it, you can do it, and you deserve the space to lead.
After immigrating to Canada, Michelle returned to content creation, this time documenting the realities of life as a newcomer. What began as updates for her family quickly grew into something much bigger. Her openness about the joys and challenges of starting over resonated deeply with people who saw their own experiences reflected in hers.
This year’s award marked an emotional milestone. “Winning made me realize that my voice has an impact,” she shared. “I knew I had the [fan base], but seeing people show up for me meant everything.”
For Michelle, this recognition is not about a title, it is about knowing her words matter and she is only just getting started. With plans to continue her podcast, launch a new platform to support women’s personal and financial growth, build an influencer marketing startup, and complete the Digital Marketing Communications program, 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for Michelle.
This recognition may honour her past work, but it is her future that promises something truly extraordinary. Congratulations, Michelle! We look forward to seeing what comes next.
