Overview

The two-year diploma in Business is for the student who is looking to broaden their education and immerse themselves in more than one area of specialization. Graduating students become a more employable and knowledgeable candidate for a variety of positions within the Business world.  No matter your areas of interest, a Business Diploma will provide you with the fundamental skills and experience in Marketing, Human Resources, and Accounting to ensure success.

Highlights

Graduates will broaden their skills base in team work, presentations, written and oral communication, resume work and self-representation. Students will gather real world experience with projects that send groups into the community, building teamwork skills, meeting new business people and networking, and are given the opportunity to make a difference in our community. This program also gives graduates the opportunity to continue their education with a third year in Cornwall for Business Administration, and the option to specialize in Accounting, Marketing or Human Resources Management to receive a Bachelor in their desired field of study.

The knowledge gained from this course will provide you with the business intel and leadership skills that are sure to positively impact a variety of different career paths.

Admission Requirements

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with the majority of Grade 11 and 12 courses at the C, U or M level including the following prerequisites:

Additional Information

Programs at St. Lawrence College are delivered using a variety of instruction modes. Courses may be offered in the classroom or lab, entirely online, or in a hybrid mode which combines classroom sessions with online learning activities. Program delivery can be run weekdays, weekends or evenings. Upon registration, each full-time student is provided a St. Lawrence College email account which is used to communicate important information about program or course events.

Advanced Standing

High school students with a minimum grade of 75% in Grade 12 M level accounting (BAT4M) are eligible to receive advanced standing in St. Lawrence College Introductory Accounting, ACCT 1. Once you have been accepted into your college program, contact your program coordinator for details.
