Fletcher Foundation Grant to St. Lawrence College Inspires Interest in Biotechnology
A gift to SLC from The Fletcher Foundation will bring area high school students to the College’s labs as part of the Future Technologists Program. Students will work with specialized learning kits and gain exposure to hands-on learning opportunities in Biotechnology. The next workshop at SLC will be held on May 31 for students from Holy Cross Secondary School in Kingston.
St. Lawrence College Announces 2023 Honorary Diploma Recipients
St. Lawrence College is pleased to announce it will award four Honorary Diplomas at its Convocation ceremonies this spring in Cornwall, Friday, June 2; Brockville, Friday, June 9, and in Kingston Thursday June 15 and Friday, June 16.
St. Lawrence College Partners with Automotive Industries of Canada and Government of Ontario to Address Shortage of Tradespeople
SLC is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA Canada), the Government of Ontario to continue delivering new auto care industry training to help address shortages in the industry’s workforce. An announcement was made today in London, Ontario, which expands the partnership to include Conestoga College, Fanshawe College, and Plug ‘N Drive. 
St. Lawrence College Opens New Global Learning Centre
St. Lawrence College is pleased to announce the grand opening of the new guard.me Global Learning Centre on its Kingston campus. An opening event will be held on Thursday, May 25 for everyone to come and explore the new space and discover the services offered to students.
St. Lawrence College Students Bring Home the Hardware from Provincial Skills Competition
Three students from St. Lawrence College (SLC) brought home medals from the Skills Ontario competition, which was held May 1-2, 2023, in Toronto. SLC was proudly represented by 13 student competitors across contests that included Carpentry, Coding and IT Networking, Masonry, Auto Services, Millwright, Precision Machining, and Welding. Esthetician student Makenna Cooney-Papke won the gold medal with Nyssa Valentini beside her with the silver medal. Nathan Orr, Machinist Apprenticeship student, brought home the silver medal for Precision Machining.
