POSITION SUMMARY

Reports to Department Manager, and under the guidance of the designate, the student incumbent works up to 12-hours per week (may include evenings and/or weekends) providing supervised services to clients and performing limited administrative related tasks to gain work experience while supporting the operations of the department. The successful incumbent demonstrates strong customer-service, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills, combined with an ability to work under pressure, and problem-solve while working independently.

The incumbent engages in assigned additional duties within the context of service delivery, project development and delivery, and research (as applicable).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with clients of the centre on site (at CBS)
  • Support the development and implementation of behaviour analytic programming directly to clients in 1:1 or group arrangements
  • Receive and implement feedback and maintain clear and ongoing communication with CBS staff
  • Collect, enter, and present behavioural data on client outcomes
  • Some assigned summary writing of client progress – daily service notes required

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • CPIC with vulnerable sector screening required

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent Communication skills with children, adults, and co-workers
  • Strong organization and time management
  • Ability to follow treatment and intervention protocols and collect associated data (as requested)
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work as part of a team
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs – work, excel, PPT, planner etc.

Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements: 

The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location.

Salary & Terms

  • Start Rate: $17.20/hour, (plus 6% in lieu of vacation)
  • Hours per week: 12

Terms of Employment:

  • Must be currently enrolled in Full-Time studies at St. Lawrence College OR returning to Full-Time studies in the immediate upcoming semester.
  • Must be in good academic standing for full duration of employment.
