POSITION SUMMARY

The Innovation Hub Associate – Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for building, designing, and implementing marketing strategies for Innovation Hub events. They will use various technologies, platforms, and software to implement these marketing strategies. In addition to promoting upcoming events, the incumbent will also be expected to contribute to storytelling and reporting of the outcome and value of various events, projects and initiatives that have been developed and executed by the Innovation Hub and various internal and external partners.

The Innovation Hub Associate – Marketing and Communications Coordinator will also assist and complete various administrative and clerical tasks and contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of the work and event spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret event specifics and develop targeted marketing approaches.
  • Design and produce print and digital materials in collaboration for event promotion.
  • Oversee event registrations and engage audiences through social media marketing.
  • Record event details for marketing analysis and strategy refinement.
  • Contribute to venue setup and event operations, maintaining organization and readiness.
  • Implement and report on data collection systems to enhance marketing strategies.
  • Work alongside the Innovation Hub team to ensure the success of events and complete common clerical duties.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Working knowledge of, or the ability to learn and engage various technological platforms (Monday.com, Slack, Eventbrite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, etc.)
  • Strong understanding and ability to engage and utilize various social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements: 

The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location.

Salary & Terms

  • Start Rate: $17.20/hour, (plus 6% in lieu of vacation)
  • Hours per week: 12

Terms of Employment:

  • Must be currently enrolled in Full-Time studies at St. Lawrence College OR returning to Full-Time studies in the immediate upcoming semester.
  • Must be in good academic standing for full duration of employment.
