Program Overview
St. Lawrence College is offering students the opportunity to learn English from the comfort of their homes around the world. This online program allows students to access quality curricula on an e-learning platform and engage in live video conferencing with qualified ESL teachers in Canada. Program Features
- 16-week intensive learning, focused on reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, and academic study skills
- Live practice sessions (4-hour mandatory sessions and 4 hours optional sessions)
- Evening classes Tuesday – Friday 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Toronto time. Convert to your time zone). If these times don’t work for you, you can explore our personalized POET program
- Self-Study (10+ hours per week on your own schedule)
- One-on-one tutorials (2 hours per week interaction tailored to your needs)

Program Structure
There are 2 levels in the Integrated English Online Program. Check your level of English here
- Learn vocabulary related to daily life and academic subjects
- Enhance reading comprehension
- Improve writing skills to produce a 500-word essay
- Focus on speaking fluency
Requirements to progress to the next level of study
- 60% on the final grade to progress to Advanced
Note: the credential earned from this program is only one piece required for admission to academic programs. Students are still required to meet other admission requirements to enter the academic program. Different programs may have different requirements.
- Learn academic English with targeted vocabulary and study skills
- Read to comprehend complex academic subjects
- Improve writing skills to produce a 1000-word essay
- Practice speaking in conducting group discussions and making presentations
Requirements to progress to the next level of study
- To enter Certificate/Diploma programs at SLC: 70% on the final grade IEOP Pathway Advanced
- To enter Degree/Graduate Certificate/Program Pairs programs at SLC: 85% on the final grade IEOP Pathway Advanced
