Designer Bio

Jonathan McCaul portrait

Hello there, my name is Jonathan McCaul. When I was a young kid all you would see me do is have some paper and crayons in my hands creating pictures, mazes and so many other things. So, when I was given the chance to put my childhood habits to good use I too the chance. Once I started attending the Graphic Design program at St. Lawrence College, I have been able to show my inner creative child in most of my work. My design specialties revolve around illustrations, layouts, and logo design. My goal in this business is to spread my creative work out there and see it displayed somewhere that I can be proud to see and look back on it for years to come.

The main concept that takes main stage is the varying levels of the waves developing the deeper you go. The waves are meant to represent the levels of which each ecosystem resides as well as the different ways you can help be it just dipping your toes into it or going nose deep into the topic.

Description

The Veggie Patch is a Vegan Food truck service that would be serving its goods to the public of Kingston within the downtown area. The original project asked for a logo design and a brochure. The revised project was to create a food truck mock-up with an online menu.

The truck mock up was designed to invite clients to enjoy their services. With a bright green and white design with the main logo printed boldly on the side. I tried to place everything upfront with links guiding you to links on social and the online menu.

The online menu is designed to present every option we serve in a mobile package. With an uncomplicated design and minimalistic design, you will see all your options with nothing too distracted to other needs. The online design will help customers pick their options before they even arrive at the food truck.

Course

Brand Identity Design 2 - DESI 331

Objective

Design a series of items using one logo from P2. The items must include stationery/digital package and in addition to 3 select ancillary items specific to your organization.

Description

World Vision is a non-for-profit organization target at third world countries and helping them with supplies, water, and teaching supplies in hoping to help them process to a better tomorrow. The project was to redesign a logo concept for world vision as the original didn’t seem to connect with its message.

The revised logo concept is meant to represent the people within third world countries rising and shooting for the stars all around the world. The addition of the star within the main person is a reference back to the original design that they had.

The remaining of the project I was designing a stationary package which they would use to spread their message to others who could help. The other was a mock-up of an ancillary item that World Vision could sell to those who help with the organization which where hats, stickers and most of all T-Shirts.
